Meet Chauncey Franks


Originally from Lockhart, Texas, Chauncey received his bachelor's and master's degrees from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, where he also played football and was a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. After graduating, he also spent some time as a college football coach and graduate assistant. Chauncey has been with FCA since July 2004. 

As the Director of the Fort Worth Metro, Chauncey oversees the FCA ministry In the greater Fort Worth Area. --->INSERT STATS. How many areas +staff, students, huddles, coaches, schools, etc.  



Chauncey is married to Danika Franks and they have three children – a son Eli and daughters Eden and Ellie. They also have two boxers, Foreman and Leila. In his spare time, you may find Chauncey on any of the DFW area lakes and ponds, bass fishing or out searching for new Texas barbecue hotspots.

Meet Michael Hatcher



As the FCA Area Director for the Fort Worth and Crowley areas, Michael's continuous personality and knowledge of developing and coordinating programs guarantee positive outcomes. Michael attended East Texas Baptist University in Marshall, Texas, on a tennis scholarship. He received a Bachelor's Degree in kinesiology and Business. Michael has served as a director of The Boys and girls Club, The YMCA, Texas Special Olympics, and the Athletic Coordinator for the City of Fort Worth.

In addition, in 2003, he founded Lighthouse Services, a non-profit ministry empowering fathers to reconcile with their children. 

 

Michael's life verse is Philippians 4:13, "I can do all this through him who gives me strength."

Michael and Melissa Hatcher have been married for over thirty-three years and are the proud parents of four children (Michael, Marcus, Meagan, and Max). Michael has been a believer since the age of ten. He grew up in El Paso, Texas, two blocks from the Mexico and Texas border in the inner city. Michael is passionate about sharing the love of Christ, playing sports, and bringing unity to communities through forgiveness and unconditional love.

      Meet Jim Sheffer


 Jim is in his 14th season with FCA Ministry – the first 9 years were in Tennessee, and he is now in his 5th year with Team Texas. Jim grew up in Knoxville, TN, and graduated from the University of Tennessee where he was a member of the Volunteer Football Team. As a Freshman, he became a Christian in an FCA Meeting. After graduation, he taught and coached HS Football and Track for 5 years in the Atlanta area where he also served as an FCA Sponsor. 


Jim left Coaching to pursue a family business opportunity back in Tennessee where he stayed involved in the FCA Ministry as a Board Member. After 12 years in Business, Jim answered a Call into full-time Vocational Ministry coming on staff with Nashville/Middle Tennessee FCA. Jim has also served with other Tennessee and Texas evangelical non-profit Ministries in the areas of Leadership and Development and just finished his 25th year of service in Ministry. 


Jim and Gina live in Keller (North Ft Worth) and have 5 children and 4 grandchildren. They attend Gateway Church North Richland Hills where Jim serves as a Deacon. Jim has been blessed to serve as an Area Director in North Tarrant County and loves to attend Football games and hike in the Mountains making occasional trips back to East Tennessee to do both.

Meet Ken Butler


Ken Butler has been involved in the local FCA ministry for many years. He grew up in Arlington and was involved with FCA at Lamar High School, where he graduated in 1991. He began serving as a volunteer with FCA in 2000, where he served as a character coach for the Sam Houston Football program. He served as a volunteer for 16 years before joining the FCA staff in 2016. He is an active part of our local school athletic programs as well as many local civic organizations.  

He and his wife Christi just celebrated 25 years of marriage and have 2 grown children, Sydney and Brice. As a family, they enjoy being outdoors, hiking, kayaking, or attending sporting events.  

Meet Michael Cummings


Michael has been with FCA for 4 years as the Director for the Greater Wichita Falls Area. After graduating from Wichita Falls High School Michael joined the US Army Infantry where he served for 10 years. After exiting the service, he went to college at Midwestern State University where he was working on an education degree. God had a different plan. Michael started working as the Athletic Director for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Wichita Falls. After working at the BGC for 3 years Michael was called to youth ministry at Colonial Church. After working there 7 years God moved him to FCA staff. 


Michael has been blessed with wife Tari for 28 years and son Chase who is 24 years old. Chase is Married to his wife Sierra, and they have two kids Emeri and Rory. Michael would say God has had his hand on every step of his life with and without Christ. Every day is a blessing.
